The Eagles were dealt a massive blow today. The team announced starting LT Jason Peters has ruptured his Achilles tendon in a workout.
Surgery is set for April 2nd.
Peters arguably had the best season of his career last year, and made the Pro Bowl. He will be extremely missed in Howard Mudd's run draw scheme in which Peters was utilized so much.
Recovery time for an Achilles tear is usually 4-6 months, and the Eagles have yet to announce he will be out of the year.
The Eagles re-signed OT King Dunlap to a one year deal because of the Peters injury. However, expect the Eagles to sign a Free Agent tackle like like veteran Kareem McKenzie or Buffalo's Demetrius Bell to a one year deal.
