Freddy Galvis To Start Season At Second

If anything, I imagined I would be writing to say Galvis will fill in at shortstop. However, Ruben Amaro Jr. has announced the 22 year old will most likely be the starting second baseman come Opening Day.

The good news: Galvis is an extremely talented prospect, and a guy who will get on base a lot.

Defense is a different story.

Galvis has always been a shortstop, so the transition could get a little interesting. Galvis played strong in AAA ball, but could definitely use more time at Lehigh Valley. At this point, the situation is out of his hands.
