T.Y. Hilton
Poistion: Wide Reciever
Florida International
Height: 5-10
Weight: 183
Projected Round: Late 3rd-4th
In a draft filled with incredibly quick wide receivers, T.Y. Hilton may be the most explosive. At his FIU, Hilton ran a blazing 4.36, which would have been tied for first among wide receivers at the NFL Combine.
Hilton used that speed to rack in big numbers during his Senior season, totaling 1,038 receiving yards on 72 receptions for 7 TDs. He fits the bill of what Andy Reid wants in a Wide Receiver: small, fast, and able to blow by any cornerback. Hilton could also fit in to the Wildcat package, which the Eagles use frequently. The Senior wideout ran for 282 yards, and scored 4 TDs in his Junior season.
However, where Hilton could be utilized most is on punt and kick returns. Last year, the Eagles went from DeSean Jackson, to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, to even Reggie Brown returning kicks and punts. Scary, I know. Hilton averaged 30.3 yards on 91 kick returns. Because the Eagles have now invested so much in DeSean Jackson, it is logical to believe that he will not be returning kicks anymore. Hilton could fill that void, and then some.
As a 3rd-4th round pick, the Eagles should absolutely consider choosing him with one of their two picks over those rounds.
Oh, and T.Y's full name is Eugene Marquis Hilton.
