Breaking News: Bryzgalov Has Chip Fracture In Foot (UPDATE)

After last night's Flyers-Lightning game, Ilya Bryzgalov was seen hobbling around the locker room. It was announced that he was having an MRI, and the results would come in soon.

Philadelphia collectively held their breath as they awaited to hear the news.

Well, it is not good: According to the Flyers, the MRI revealed a chip fracture in his right foot. He is day-to-day, and will not play in Thursday night's game.

Flyers also announced Kimmo Timonen has a back  injury.

More to come...

UPDATE: Paul Holmgren has said: We're hoping that he'll be back practicing on the ice on Friday with the idea that he can play on the weekend. He also said the injury is "not serious" and he will not need surgery.

I can totally understand understand the Flyers wanting to test Bryz out on Friday to test his pain tolerance, but why rush him back into action? Four days of rest will not heal anything, especially a fracture.
