Chase Utley Talks To Media About Knee Injuries

Chase Utley called a press conference today in sunny Clearwater, to address the issues he has been having with both knees this spring:

The good news: He is not retiring (although nobody really expected him too), and it is not bad enough to need microfracture surgery.

The bad news: Utley has said he will definitely miss the start of the 2012 season, and he will be taking the process "slow". He also went on to say that his "left knee is hurting more than the right knee, which is opposite from what was going on last year."

Not the best news ever, although it is very good to know he will not need surgery. Until Utley returns, Freddy Galvis will have the start at second base.
