Peyton Manning: Where Will He End Up?

The Peyton Manning saga is probably the most intriguing story surrounding the 2012 NFL Offseason. It's extremely hard to think of Manning in any jersey but a Colts.

However, it's something NFL fans will have to come to accept.  With the Colts looking like they will move on with Andrew Luck, where will Peyton Manning land?

3 teams instantly come to mind:

1. Miami- With his career coming to an end soon, one would have to think Peyton would like to play closer to his Mississippi home. With Chad Henne as a free agent, the Dolphins will no doubt be in the market for a Quarterback. Brandon Marshall and Reggie Bush in the backfield are weapons that could convince Peyton to bring his talents to South Beach. But if Miami wants to put people in the seats, they better be willing to pay up.

2. Arizona- Kevin Kolb might be riding the bench even before he could get a full season in as the Cardinals starting Quarterback. Darnell Dockett has made it widely known that he would love to have Manning on the Cardinals,  as would the fans. Well why would Manning want to play in Arizona? It only takes one person: Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald is any Quarterback's dream. No ball ever seems overthrown, because he can track down any pass.  Although Fitzgerald should be very enticing, I feel Arizona is unlikely to land him.

3. New York Jets- The Jets no doubt should be the odds on favorites to win the Manning sweepstakes. Down the stretch, Sanchez showed he's incapable of leading the Jets far into the playoffs. He's still young, and could learn quite a few things under Manning's wing for a year or two. Yes New York has Santonio Holmes and a great Running Back in Shonn Greene, however, the most important guy on the Jets: Dustin Keller. While with Indy, Manning relied on his Tight End Dallas Clark his entire career. The Tight End has always been Manning's go to guy, and Dustin Keller would be a perfect weapon for Manning. The Jets share a stadium with Peyton's little brother Eli, who happens to be the reigning Super Bowl MVP. What better place could their possibly be to play to show people you are back?

    1. Too much invested in Blaine Gabbert + no receiving weapons there. Also under new ownership. Franchise is a mess.

    2. 1. Gabbert needs a mentor
      2. Randy Moss will sign
      3. Three headed offense MJD Manning Moss

    3. What makes you think Moss will sign there? Not to mention Moss is 35. He's nowhere near what he used to be. Gabbert may need a mentor, but Jacksonville is not close to a contender, and there are more suitable places for Manning

    4. Moss will only sign with a team with a QB he respects and when he tries he is still better than most receivers. MJD can't carry that team forever they need a short term solution to get some morale in that franchise, and Gabbert had no idea what he was doing last year. Gabbert won't be any good for years without a decent mentor. The Jags have more talent than the Colts had for multiple teams and Manning still won 10+ games. The AFC South is weak besides the Texans. The Jags could definitely contend with Manning.

    5. That may be true, but I find it extremely unlikely he'd be willing to go there, both Moss and Manning.

  2. If Al Davis was still alive, you know he would of paid Peyton no matter the cost!
