Updates On JVR, Grossmann, Bryzgalov

The Flyers have not released any info on anyone other than Nicklas Grossmann (listed as day-to-day), but Howard Eskin was able to dig up some info from his team source.

Eskin says that Bryzgalov is battling a hip injury, and is a game time decision for Game 5. Nicklas Grossmann will most likely miss the game Friday after taking a hit from Evgeni Malkin.

Oskars Bartulis cleared waivers today and has joined the Flyers from the Adirondack Phantoms. Other Defensive options are Brandon Manning and Erik Gustafsson.

However, there is good news: James Van Riemsdyk has been cleared to play. JVR suffered a broken foot against the New York Islanders, but will play in Game 5.

Van Riemsdyk was on a line with Matt Read and Jakub Voracek.

UPDATE: Paul Holmgren has told CSN's Tim Panaccio Bryz is not suffering from a new lower body injury. He has been dealing with a chip fracture in his foot suffered against the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 27th.

Regardless, I have a hard time believing Bryzgalov would miss Game 5 unless his injury, new or  not, is serious.
